You have seen an advertisement from a couple, who live in Australia, for someone to teach their two children your language for a year.
Write a letter to the couple. In your letter
- explain why you think you would be suitable for the job
- say what else you could do for the family
- give your reasons for wanting the job
I am writing this letter to apply for the language teaching job posted in the Australian newspaper.
As I hold a postgraduate degree with a major in the Spanish language, I would be the best fit for this role. You might find it intriguing that besides knowledge of the subject, I have pedagogical skills of teaching the language. I also have three years of experience in teaching Spanish at Oxford University.
Furthermore, I can offer two hours of rigorous lessons to the two of your children. I can also email you course details that include a syllabus. Because of my prior experience and skills, I am confident that they can complete their learnings within six months.
There are a few reasons why I am considering this job. Firstly, I am passionate about teaching and second that this language allows one to express themselves artistically.
Based on my qualifications, I would request you to accept my application. Since I have a work permit for Australia, I will be pleased to embark on the teaching opportunity.
