Strategy

  • Identify keywords in questions and find the matching sentence ( or two sentences )
  • Read the question, locate the paragraph and comprehend. Then match the passage paragraph with the answers.
  • It can use two sentences from the passage to form a question and 2 sentences to form an answer.
  • Do the easiest question first.
  • Goes in order
  • Synonym language is used for the correct answer. Don’t fall for trap when exact same word is used in the answer, its usually not correct.
  • When choosing an answer of ‘main idea’ question, try to look at the first section paragraph and avoid answers which are very “specific and can belong to only one paragraph”. Choose an answer that is more generic.
